I am so ridiculously grateful to God for the opportunity to serve at and through Faith Reformed. There's much to say, too much to say, about my hopes and dreams for Faith and for the surrounding community. Perhaps the best way to summarize all those aspirations might be to think of the description of Jesus in John 1:14. I want to cultivate environments—at church, at home, and elsewhere—where we are full of truth and full of grace. Usually we give up one for the sake of the other, but it's possible to be candid and kind, honest and respectful. This then leads to other ways we can choose both/and instead of either/or. We are both gathered and sent, both attractive and missional, both traditional and progressive, etc.

Hi, my name is Drew I attended FRC growing up and volunteered in the youth program through high school and college. After graduation I earned a Bachelors degree in Theology, majoring in Youth Ministry at Emmanuel Bible College. Shortly after college I married Brittany and we moved to Connecticut where I served as Youth Minister at Stepney Baptist Church. In time we moved back to Northern Michigan and had our son William. We are also working on an adoption that has us very excited. I am very happy to be at FRC and excited to be on staff serving this body of believers in this community. I hope to bless the body of Christ by knowing Christ and by making Him known. If there is any way I can serve you, please feel free to contact me.

A California Bay Area native, my husband Craig (originally from Grosse Ile, MI & an MSU grad) and I moved our family of 3 daughters to Traverse City in 2013 after spending 15 years visiting our summer cottage on Lake Margrethe. As a young girl, I felt called to pursue a career in opera and earned a degree in Voice Performance. However, along the way God gradually changed my course by allowing me many opportunities to lead people in musical worship. I discovered both a gift and a passion that’s led to some rich experiences in which I’ve felt blessed to participate. I joined the FRC staff September of 2015 and have enjoyed getting to know everyone here. The worship team at Faith Reformed Church has blown me away by their godly wisdom, hearts for service, and their commitment to one another and this church family. What an honor to serve alongside these wonderful people! And what a privilege to worship along with a church that’s filled with such God-honoring, welcoming hearts.

Greetings. My name is Randy Burgess and I am deeply honored to be on staff at Faith Reformed Church as the Director of Missions and Outreach. Following over 20 years in business, God extended an opportunity to join Him full time in ministry and I couldn't be more excited. My wife, Joan, and I have been married 31 years. She brings me great stature, first as a great wife and mother, second as a native of TC (a rare jewel) and thirdly as a daughter of this church. We have been blessed with three sons and they are part of our third generation at Faith Reformed Church. We are committed as a body to be at work 7 days a week in our world on His behalf. Please join us as His Hands and Feet as we seek ways to minister beyond our walls.
Interim Children's Ministry Director & Kids Hope Director

Growing up at Faith Reformed Church solidified this community as my faith family. The opportunity to do life alongside a faith-filled congregation has brought me life in countless ways. Now I have the blessing of being apart of the staff, serving as the Kids Hope USA Director for our mentoring partnership with Central Grade School.
As a Clinical Social Worker with over a decade of experience in Child Welfare and counseling, I have a strong desire to help children connect in relationships with positive caring adults. This is the gift of mentoring, a meaningful connection wrapped in a relationship. The opportunity to develop the relationships between Mentors and Students in the Kids Hope USA program brings me great joy.
I met and married my husband Mike at Faith Reformed Church. We have two children who enjoy engaging alongside us in ministry opportunities as we as a family serve those within the congregation, community, and world together. As a family we enjoy the abundant outdoor activities and scenic sites that the Grand Traverse region has to offer. In a quiet moment you'll find me with a book or listening to a podcast with a curiosity about people and how the gospel message can transform us from the inside out.

Hello - I'm Vicky Hentschel. I feel truly blessed to be on the staff here at FRC. I grew up in the Grand Rapids area and, like many, enjoyed vacationing here. This led to meeting my husband, Ben, who happens to be a native of Traverse City. We have been married for 34 years. God blessed us with two sons. Our oldest is Joshua. He is married to Laura and they have two daughters. Our youngest, Jason, is married to Kristin and they have two daughters as well. Both families live in the Grand Traverse area. Ben and I have attended FRC since before we were married. This is our church home.
Now God has given me the privilege to use the gifts He has given me to serve here. I look forward to being of service to you.

EMAIL Louise Ihm
Hello, my name is Louise Ihm. I came to Traverse City in 2008 about a year after I married my husband David, to take a job as a Human Resources Sr. Systems Analyst. I was born and raised in metro-Detroit, and returned there after achieving a bachelor’s degree at Michigan State University in English and Secondary Education. Much of my career focused on computer software training, database analysis, report-writing and authoring training manuals. It also afforded me the opportunity to travel extensively throughout the US and Canada. Traverse City is truly a wonderful place to call home, with a community of people that are just as beautiful as the lakes, hills, orchards and woods that surround us. The gorgeous scenery makes me appreciate God’s handiwork and inspires me to try to imitate it in my hobby, which is painting in oils, watercolors and acrylics.
Dave and I began attending Faith Reformed Church in 2008, and became members in 2012 before our son was baptized. I was very pleased that God orchestrated events so that I could start working here in April 2020. I am looking forward to learning and growing with our faith family.
My name is Howard Couturier, but most call me Butch. I was born into a family of farmers and builders native to Leelanau County. My grandparents had a potato farm and my grandfather was a builder. They had nine sons and six daughters. These brothers had one of two all brother baseball teams in the US. My grandparents had a dairy and fruit farm. My grandfather delivered milk in the Leland/Lake Leelanau area.
I went to school at Lake Leelanau St. Mary's and graduated from Leland High School. I played basketball and baseball in high school and still love these sports. I also like to hunt and fish. I play drums and banjo too.
I married my wife, Laurel, forty five years ago. We have two children, a son and daughter and three grandchildren. I have been self employed most of my adult life as a contractor. I spent many years volunteering in the 4-H livestock program as a 4-H leader and served on the Livestock Council board as treasurer and president. I also served on the County Fair Board. Laurel and I also fostered several children through Social Services. I am very much enjoying my involvement at Faith Reformed Church both volunteering and my position in maintenance.
