Rev. Andrea Poppleton serves as Pastor of Care and Community Life at Faith Reformed Church. Andrea received her bachelor’s degree in Language Arts for Elementary Education from Hope College and her Master of Divinity from Western Theological Seminary. She is a credentialed teacher and an ordained pastor, with professional experience in both fields.
Andrea’s role at FRC encompasses care, community, and kids. She serves as an advocate for the generations of the church—coordinating pastoral care for all ages, providing opportunities for intergenerational connection, and encouraging the spiritual formation of the family unit. In this role she also oversees our Children’s Ministries: Nursery, Children & Worship, the Learning Hour, Vacation Bible School, and more.
With thoughtful perspective and intentionality, Andrea graciously serves in many capacities. She is active in planning for and leading Sunday worship, partnering with the other Ministry staff and the FRC Liturgy Team. She is an effective coach in our Kingdom Journey process; she has experience managing our social media presence; and she has participated in the design and update of youth and children’s ministry spaces on the church campus.
Andrea is married to Drew, our lead pastor. The two met while attending Western Theological Seminary. They are the parents of two lovely daughters, Lucy and Claire. In her free time, Andrea enjoys the beauty of nature, including the houseplants she nurtures in her own home and office. She is a novice baker and a creative maker. We are blessed to have her generously share her gifts with our congregation.
