Values

We value God’s glory above all else because the Triune God is at the center of all things, and we are not. We also say it this way: we exist for Christ and His Kingdom.

We value a way of being that is characterized by love, forgiveness, and accountability because we believe that all people will know we are Christ’s disciples if we lead lives like Christ’s—”full of grace and truth.”

We value the building of relationships because the Kingdom of God moves at the speed of relationships. This means we work to enrich our relationships with God, self, and others. We don’t reserve our love for a special few, but intentionally reach out to those in need and those who have yet to follow Jesus because all people matter to God and thus, they should also matter to us.

We value discipleship and formation—the continuous growth of every Christian in biblical knowledge, wisdom, stewardship, & service, all culminating in a way of being that reflects Christ. At all ages, we seek to disciple and be discipled because although God loves us as we are, he also loves us with expectancy of who we are becoming. As such, we help each other live into our identity in Christ and the life God intends.

We value the Bible as the inspired, infallible Word of God, and we trust that Spirit-driven teaching derived from the Bible will be the catalyst for transforming both individual lives and the Church more into the likeness of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

We value joining God on mission locally, nationally and globally because he invites us to do so, and we know that God is already at work in our neighborhoods and around the world.

We value a church that helps every believer engage in ministry because we value the priesthood of all believers. Every member of the body of Christ has been given Spiritual gifts and has a role in God’s ongoing work.

We value ministry that is both theologically rich and culturally relevant because we believe the gospel message is timeless & unchanging, but its presentation must be tailored to ensure it is heard and received by a changing audience. Thus, we are moored in the Reformed tradition, but we will not allow institutionalization to prevent us from communicating God’s good news in fresh ways.

We value small group ministry because we believe that small groups are the best place for people to feel part of the body of Christ, to be cared for, and to experience the life-changing power of Jesus Christ.

We value human life from the womb to the tomb and and value the family as the basic building block for all societies because we believe that this is the way God created life to be lived out. 

We value hearts and minds shaped by the vision of the Kingdom so that as we live our lives, we can cultivate goodness, truth, and beauty while also speaking prophetically against those things are against God’s will.
